So you’ve been rejected: What now? Do you crawl under a rock and die? Huddle up with a carton of Ben and Jerry’s Chunky Monkey and watch reruns of Girlfriends? Or get angry and think your better than that person, and send the infamous “you’ll regret it” message?
Answer is: None of the above. You pick yourself up, dust yourself off (can’t be dingy!), and try again. After you’ve been rejected, you can usually identify with one or a few of these emotions: regret, sadness, confusion, anger, and sometimes in severe cases you feel your sense of self worth decrease. That’s completely okay and normal. It may not be the best feeling in the world, getting rejected, but afterwards here’s some steps to what you do.
Step 1: Rethink your Approach and the person: Did you come on too strong? Were you not that persons type? Were you TOO much? Were they right for you?
Step 2: Fix it, let it go, or move it along Think about what you could do to improve YOURSELF! If you think you were rejected because you were not that persons type, cut your losses no since in holding on to the past. Now, move it along, keep striving to better yourself for when the right person comes along, til then keep up with your daily life, life and time don’t wait for anybody.
Step 3: Keep Faith Keep faith you’ll find someone better suited for you and he/she will love and respect you as much as you do them!
